There’s something special about slowing down and making things from scratch. Whether it’s baking bread, cooking dinner from real ingredients, or making something homemade for the kids, I love the feelings of knowing exactly what’s in the things my family uses every day. It’s simple, pure, and intentional, and there’s something peaceful about that.
Now, let me be honest here, when time is short (which, let’s be real, is often), I’m not above grabbing a loaf of store-bought bread or a bag of granola off the shelf. You’ll still catch me in the grocery store from time to time. But when I do, I grab the best version I can find, something with as few junk ingredients as possible. This isn’t an all -the-time thing, just in-a-pinch kind of thing, because mom life can be a crazy one with a lot packed into the day.
I’m not one to judge anyone for buying processed food, but I may cringe a little, and probably won’t be able to fight the urge to stop you and share what’s actually in some of those foods, and find you a better option lol. Life is busy though, I totally get it, and we all do our very best. Just don’t make those grocery store trips a habit, and when you do, remember to pick the best versions of what you’re getting.
